What the number is measuring

A generated arrangement already honours every rule you marked Essential - the app never offers you one that breaks one of those. The compliance score (see the glossary) is about the band just below: the rules you marked Very important, which get scored rather than guaranteed. Anything gentler than that, Nice to have and below, is advisory and does not move the number at all.

It is not a pass or fail mark, and a low score does not stop you sharing the sheet. It is still a real, playable arrangement - the score just tells you honestly how much it had to compromise to fit everything in.

It can move after you hand-fix a group

The score is worked out from the arrangement as it stands right now, not from the moment you generated it. Drag a player into a different group afterwards and, if that move breaks a rule the generated draw had honoured, the score changes to reflect the sheet you actually have.

What to do with a low score

Open the compliance report to see exactly which rule is unmet, in which round, and a specific fix for it - drag this player to that group, or regenerate the round. If the fix does not suit the outing, you have not broken anything by leaving it: lower that rule’s priority, or accept the trade-off and send the sheet as it is. The score is information for you to weigh, not a gate stopping you from sharing.
