Getting started
Create your account
Sign up with your name, an email address and a password - or continue with Google. There is no card to enter, and nothing to cancel if it turns out not to be for you.
Set up your society
A society just needs a name. Outings and members are added afterwards, whenever you are ready.
Create your first trip
Give it a name and a date and you have a trip. Everything else - players, rounds, rules - you add afterwards, in any order.

The handful of terms that come up around a tee sheet, in plain words. Each one means the same thing everywhere in the app and everywhere in this help centre.
Players on this trip
Get your players in from WhatsApp or a spreadsheet
Paste your list into the Players tab however it comes and the app reads the names, handicaps, tees and emails for you. Missing details don’t stop you, and nothing needs tidying up first.
Edit or remove a player on this outing
Any field can be changed after you have added someone, and a player can be removed at any point - even after the tee sheet is drawn.
How handicaps are worked out
You don’t work anything out. From each player’s tee, the app applies the 2024 World Handicap System and the right allowance for the format you’re playing, and rounds once at the end.
Your society members
Keep one address book for the society
Add someone once and they’re ready to pull onto any trip - name, handicap and tee travel with them.
Invite someone to the society
There is no separate invite to send - the first time someone is added to any outing, they are saved to the society for good.
Manage a society member’s details
Edit a member’s handicap or contact details once, on their profile, and it is the number waiting the next time you add them to an outing.

Couples together, the feud apart, the newcomers spread out. Set it once and the app takes the blame.
Move players by hand when plans change
Drag a player from one group to another and the sheet rearranges around them. Lock the groups you’re happy with, regenerate the rest, and your fixed groups stay put.
Set your rounds, courses and tee times
One round per day of golf. Each carries its own course, format, first tee time and the gap between groups, so a tour can play differently every day.

The app builds two thousand possible draws, scores each against your rules, and offers you the best five. Pick the one you like.
Read the compliance score
The compliance score shows how well a generated arrangement met the rules you set - it is not a verdict on whether the arrangement is valid. Every arrangement you are offered already is.

Events versus rounds - what’s the difference
A round is golf with a tee sheet - a course, tee times and groups. An event is anything else on the calendar that still wants an RSVP, from a dinner to an AGM, and it does not need an outing at all.
Waitlists and late dropouts
A full outing takes new attending replies onto a waitlist in the order they arrived, and promotes the next name the moment a spot opens - by itself, or by your hand if you would rather choose.

Score on the course and watch the leaderboard
Open scoring and every player gets their own link. They tap in a score hole by hole from any phone, and the leaderboard moves for everyone at once. No app, no account, no password.

Confirm the course numbers before you open scoring
Before scoring opens on a round with real numbers, you get one screen to check the slope, course rating and par against the real scorecard. Skip it if you are in a hurry - scoring still opens, players just see a note that the numbers have not been checked yet.
Check and sign off a card as marker
If you are marking for your group, you enter every player’s card from your own phone. They see their scores on the leaderboard exactly as if they had typed them.
Follow the live leaderboard
Every score that goes in moves the board on every phone in the trip at once. Anyone with the link can watch, with no account.
Enter results from paper scorecards
If nobody scored the round on the app, type each player’s total in afterwards and it feeds the results and the season standings exactly the same as a round scored live.

Set the season up once and the standings keep themselves across every fixture. Ties are split by proper countback, and there’s a public link members can check any time.

The moment scoring closes the placings are worked out, ties split by countback. Publish them, copy them into the group chat, or email them out.

Keep a running table across a multi-day trip
As each round gets scored, the table updates itself - so "who’s leading" is always answered, never worked out by hand in the bar.

Save an outing as a template
Turn an outing into a reusable starting point that keeps its rounds, rules and settings but leaves the dates and the player list behind, ready for the next time you run it.
Start next year’s outing from a template
Pick a saved template, set the new dates, and a fresh outing is built from it in seconds, with this year’s player list built fresh rather than carried over from last time.
Duplicate an outing
Clone an outing’s whole setup, including this year’s actual players, into a new one-off outing - no saved template and no annual plan required.

Plans, payments and how cancellation works
The free plan is free forever. A Trip pass unlocks one trip and the Society plan unlocks every trip for a year. Either way, you have 14 days to cancel, and upgrading from a pass to the plan only ever charges the difference.
Export your data
Download everything you have put into Who’s on the Tee? as one file, any time - whether you are on the free plan, a lapsed annual, or have never paid at all.
What the free plan includes
Every outing gets a free basic tee sheet for life - up to 12 players, one round, and a share link - with no card required. Paying only starts when a single outing needs more than that.
Move to the annual plan
The Society plan covers every outing and every paid feature for your whole society, for one yearly price, instead of paying per outing each time.
Something’s not working
I closed scoring by accident - can I reopen it?
Yes. Reopen it from the round’s scoring controls and every submitted card, team and result stays exactly as it was - nothing is lost or recalculated until you close it again.
A player can’t open their scoring link
Almost always one of three things: scoring for that round isn’t open yet, they’ve tapped an old link from earlier in the chat, or the link itself got mangled being copied or forwarded. Check them in that order.
My groups came out wrong
Check the rule’s priority first - only Essential rules are guaranteed - then look at the other arrangements the same generate run produced before regenerating blind.
A player didn’t get the email
Check spam first, then confirm the address on file is right and marked opted in, then resend - the delivery status under the button confirms whether it actually landed this time.
I can’t sign in
Reset your password if you set one, make sure you are using the same method (email or Google) you originally signed up with, and use Get in touch at the bottom of this page if neither gets you back in.
