Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 May 2026
Draft notice: Who’s on the Tee? is in early access. These terms may evolve before general launch. We’ll tell anyone with an account about material changes at least 14 days before they take effect.

These terms govern your use of the Who’s on the Tee? web application at whosonthetee.app(the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. What we provide

The Service is a tee-sheet generator, scoring, and sharing tool for golf societies. It generates suggested groupings using a constraint solver, lets organisers edit them, and lets players view and score rounds via shared links.

We don’t book tee times with golf clubs, process payments to clubs, calculate official handicap submissions, or guarantee that the schedule we produce satisfies every constraint perfectly. The compliance score on the tee sheet tells you how well the result matches your rules - read it.

2. Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. If you sign in with Google, you authorise us to receive your email address from Google to identify you.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. The Service is for adults organising golf trips.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications.
  • Upload personal data about other people without their permission. If you add a player’s email address, you confirm they have agreed to receive tee-sheet emails from you.
  • Attempt to break, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or probe the Service for vulnerabilities. Responsible disclosure of security issues is welcome - email hello@whosonthetee.app.
  • Use the Service for anything illegal, harassing, or harmful.
  • Resell, sublicense, or whitelabel the Service without our written permission.
  • Merge two member records that you have not confirmed represent the same person. Merges affect all trip history within the society and cannot be undone.
  • Use the cross-society organiser-attestation flow (when no email is on file) unless you have actually spoken to the player and they have agreed to be added to the second society. Your name and the timestamp are logged. By submitting an attestation, you accept legal responsibility for that confirmation under this acceptable-use policy.

4. Pricing and founder rates

During early access, founding members get a year of full access free in exchange for honest product feedback. After the founding year, founder rates (£10 per trip or £50 per year) lock in for life, as long as you stay subscribed.

We may change pricing for non-founder accounts with at least 30 days’ notice. Founder rates are protected for as long as you stay subscribed.

5. Beta software

The Service is still being built. Features may change, break, or disappear. We work to avoid data loss, but provide the Service “as is” during early access. Keep your own backup of any tee sheet or score data you can’t afford to lose.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you put into the Service - trip details, player lists, scores, custom rules. You grant us a limited licence to store and display that content as needed to run the Service.

You can export your data at any time from your account page. If you delete your account, we delete your content per the timeline in our Privacy Policy.

When two member records are merged, the loser’s organiser notes are discarded unless the organiser explicitly chooses to prepend them to the surviving record. Trip history from both records is moved onto the survivor.

7. Our content

We own the Service’s code, design, branding, copy, and scheduling algorithm. You may use the Service for its intended purpose, but not copy it, redistribute it, or build a competing product from it.

8. Email

By adding a player’s email address to a trip, you confirm that player has agreed to receive tee-sheet and reminder emails from you via the Service. Players can unsubscribe from any email they receive. We honour those preferences per-trip and per-organiser.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, abuse other users, or pose a security risk. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll give notice and a chance to fix the issue first.

You can close your account at any time from your account page. We’ll delete your data per the Privacy Policy timeline.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising from how you use the Service is limited to what you’ve paid us in the previous 12 months (or £100 for free users). We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as missed tee times, lost trips, or disputes between members of your society.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that can’t be limited under English law.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we’ll email account holders at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms. The current version is always at this URL.

12. Governing law

The laws of England and Wales govern these terms. The courts of England and Wales handle any disputes.

13. Contact
