Invite someone to the society
There is no separate invite to send - the first time someone is added to any outing, they are saved to the society for good.

There is no separate step to invite someone into the society first. The first time a person is added to any outing - pasted in, typed by hand, however they arrive - they are saved to the member directory for good, ready to pick from "Add from members" on every outing after.
How a member differs from a one-outing player
Adding someone to just one outing’s player list keeps them there and nowhere else. The member directory is what carries their handicap, contact details and history forward across every outing and season, not only the one you happen to be building right now.
What they see
Nothing changes for them until you next include them in something you share, such as a tee sheet or a scoring link. Joining a society’s directory does not give someone an account of their own - if they later choose to sign in themselves, the app finds their membership automatically by matching their email, with nothing for you to set up on your side.
